At home Health care and assistance?
My uncle has cancer and he does have medical insurance but it will only pay for so much of his medical expenses. He is a 250 lb man and he needs someone to be with him 24/7 because he cannot make it around his house without falling or hurting himself. I cant take care of him because i am 9mo pregnant and due anyday, the only other people are my grandmother and mother, his is to big for my mother and my grandmother is disabled and needs supervision as it is. Is there any kind of at home nurse or something that we can get for cheap or any other options available?
If no one can take care of him at home then he may end up having to go into a long term care facility. Don't feel bad about having to put him in one. Most of these places actually do provide good care. My bf's grandmother is in one and she really likes it there. You most certainly can not care for him, so other family members may end up having to step up to the plate. Your baby will be more helpless and in need of your attention 24/7 than your uncle.
you need to get a lift. you can check on his coverage with a prescription any store that sells them will usually help with that. you can also check classifieds. put an ad in for a home health worker. Insurance may pay for that. check with local agencies and they will see if insurance will cover it.
